Nargis builds spoiler protection tools that help people avoid future story information online. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how to ask us to delete it.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Nargis, we may collect:

contact information you submit, such as an email address for the waitlist or support;
spoiler protection settings, including titles, progress state, and preferred verticals;
feedback, reports, or examples you choose to send us;
basic product diagnostics needed to maintain, debug, and improve the service;
basic Google account identity data when you choose Google sign-in;
connected-platform data that you authorize through providers such as Meta or Threads.

Google account data

If you choose Google sign-in, Nargis requests only basic account identity scopes. We use the stable provider identifier and verified email address Google returns, when available, to create or sign in to your Nargis account, link that sign-in method, protect the account, and keep your spoiler-protection state associated with the right account. Nargis does not request access to Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Calendar, or your Google password, and does not sell this data or use it for advertising.

Meta and Threads data

If you connect a Meta or Threads account, we only request the permissions shown in the authorization flow and approved for the app. We use authorized Threads data to support spoiler discovery, source coverage testing, product debugging, and related protection workflows. We do not sell this data or use it to target advertising.

How we use information

to provide, test, and improve spoiler protection;
to understand where spoiler pain and spoiler spread happen online;
to respond to support, privacy, and beta access requests;
to protect the service from spam, abuse, and security issues;
to satisfy platform, legal, and operational requirements.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate Nargis, such as hosting, analytics, support, email, database, or infrastructure vendors. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users, Nargis, or the public.

Retention and deletion

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required for security, legal, or abuse prevention reasons. You can request deletion at daeshawn@nargis.xyz or by following the instructions at nargis.xyz/data-deletion/.
